Traffic Planner Needed! Salary 20k- 30k including Bonuses.
Description
As the successful candidate you will be required to develop effective transport plans and control resources ensuring customer and business requirements are achieved while complying with legal responsibilities.
What will I be responsible for?
• To develop and control an agreed amount of resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers) ensuring all legal constraints are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU Drivers’ Hours regulations)
• Produce effective transport plans guided by the time based planning process
• Effective management of drivers through on-going communication supplemented by the use of in house Tracking devise, group analysis screen
• Ensure that internal tracking system housekeeping is completed to the required standards
• Understanding and achieving specific targets regarding utilisation, cost pence per mile (CPPM), wage to revenue, empty journeys
• Review allocated customers making sure that work is planned to time and correct equipment is efficiently utilised
• Constantly communicate with customer services and drivers to ensure customer KPI targets achieved and maintained.
• To have a working knowledge of the relevant highway standards, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and the Manual for Streets
• To understand and have experience of working with the planning regulatory framework, and knowledge of planning and transport policy as applied to development
• To work to deadlines and work independently when required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients.
CPC National will be required for this Position.

Due to the nature of the role we are looking for dependable and committed individuals. Ideally you will have a proven track record within a planning environment, preferably within the haulage industry. Any previous experience of planning systems/software would be an advantage.
You should also be PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Some geographic knowledge would be an advantage
