£4.500
Beschreibung
This Midget is a beauty. An excellent, enthusiast maintained car with many years history. The Midget was first registered on 7/11/1978 in Surrey and, until my ownership, spent all its life there. Receipts show that work completed has been by professionally done, for example over the past few years maintenance and repairs have been undertaken by MG specialists Surrey Sports & Classics Ltd. The car is offered for sale in excellent order. Everything works and the car drives extremely well. It is an absolute pleasure and I'm very sad to have to sell her. However, due to moving home I have to pool my funds. The Midge has only had 4 previous owners, the second owner being in possession for 26 years. It has covered 56,500 miles. The Midge was MOT'd on 11/5/2016 and passed with no advisories.
There are no mechanical problems that I am aware of. It was last serviced around a 1000 miles ago. The engine bay is clean and tidy with the correct stickers attached. The engine is fast and responsive. The gearbox has a lovely notchy feel and always changes perfectly. This Midget is an excellent drive and a thoroughly fun car to be breezing down country lanes in summer weather!
The road wheels are British made Minators with very good tyres. All wheel caps are present with MG resin stickers attached. The underside is excellent and had black Waxoyl applied this month. The exhaust system is stainless steel.
The interior is clean and tidy. The carpets and dashboard are in very good condition. All dials work correctly. There a few small nicks in the passenger seat, but they do not detract from the clean appearance of the interior. The hood works as it should and is in excellent condition apart from some yellowing to the rear screen corner. This is not in the line of vision from the rear view mirror. A tonneau cover is present.
The bodywork is superb. The paintwork has a deep shine. I have photographed the Midge as best I can (black cars are known to be the hardest to photograph) and I think they show the quality of the finish. Both sill trims and wing trims along with the 'M I D G E T' lettering have been replaced recently and set off the paintwork off beautifully. The black paint really suits the rubber bumper cars as the bumpers blend in with the paint and are less conspicuous. The boot floor is in excellent condition with no rust. There are excellent boot floor and spare wheel cover carpets. The spare wheel is a Minator.
The price is in keeping with a well maintained, low mileage, fully sorted car with plenty of history that should gives years of pleasure. It has already been to a couple of classic car shows in Kent and East Sussex during the past few weeks and garners very positive comments. Viewing and a test drive are recommended to appreciate the condition and drive-ability of the Midge which is all set for the summer. The Midge is safe and dry in my home garage in Littlestone, Kent which is 25 minutes from the M20.
