Beschreibung
Very reluctant sale of this stunning 2005 Jaguar XJ6 V6!
This is the 2005 X350 XJ6 last of its kind in this shape.
I have owned this car since May 2013. I drive this car every day and it drives like a dream. Mechanically it is sound. When I bought this car it had a full service history, I took it to Jaguar to check the heater just after I bought it and as requested I gave them the service history book and now cannot find it.
The car has spent the last 2 1/2 years in Spain which is where the car is now just south of the French border. I need to change it for a left hand drive.
I am being very honest about its condition and any issues it may have, as I don't want a problem on collection day.
Recent work completed; new pads all round, new battery, new earth ground points under bonnet as Jaguar versions deteriorate with age.
Not working;
6 CD changer in boot is powered and sounds as though it is going to run but doesn't read the CD's, this is a common problem and I would imagine easily fixed. The CD in the cabin works perfectly, there is also a cable which you can plug your iPod or iPhone 4 into that will play through the stereo. The CD on the stereo in the car does work so you can play 1 at a time.
Tyres and Wheels;
You will get an idea of the depth of the tread by looking at the images and tracks that were made in the sand, plenty of tread for some time.
Wheels have some scuffing, no more than you would expect, I have seen adverts for refurbishment companies who will renew these for £60 each wheel and they will come to your house. The get you home wheel and tyre are in perfect condition and have only done 10 miles.
Body;
For its age, 10 years, the body is in an amazing condition, it still has that deep shine and looks stunning and hardly any dinks. Whilst parking the other day I managed to scrape a 7 inch line at the bottom of the passenger door. This car turns heads when its driving down the road.
Mark on right front bumper
Mark on right rear panel
Small scuff on both door mirror extremities
Slight scratch on rear left panel
Slight dink in right passenger door which should pull out
As above scrape at bottom of passenger door 7 inches long.
Interior;
The interior is in good condition for age apart from the rear left seat which has a slight stain, this may come out with a valet but not sure. There is also some wear to the drivers seat which is normal for a car of this age.
Issues;
The low coolant fluid light is on due to a faulty sensor on the plastic header tank, this is about £65 to buy a new one.
The drivers side heater is not working, this is either a blocked core or a simple blend door issue which is well documented on the internet.
Occasionally (once every 3 months for about 4 days) the Air Suspension warning light comes on, this has been checked by Jaguar and they cannot find an issue, there is no fault but this could be a faulty sensor.
Front left wheel bearing needs replacing, this can very faintly be heard only when braking and only at slow speeds, it is not dangerous and has plenty of miles left in it and costs about £300.00 for the pair, fitted.
The OEM jack was completely useless and has been replaced. I used the OEM jack twice and the thread on the spindle sheared. I don't think that this was designed to lift a car of this weight, there is a 2 tonne hydraulic jack in the boot.
The right rear reflector has come off and is £25 to buy
The front Jaguar badge was removed, I assume, by a Jaguar fanatic.
The price of the car reflects the small amount of work needed.
No time wasters. If your intention is to haggle when you come to collect it will be a wasted journey.
Many thanks,
Simon
