Honda CBF 500

I reluctantly have decided to sell my Honda CBF 500 ('07 plate) due to needing to purchase a car. I bought this on the strength of many reviews and owners praise for its reliability and solid construction. It's a very capable motorcycle indeed. I have owned the bike since March 2015. I'm the 2nd owner since new and it's in decent but modest condition for her age. There's a few very light/fine scratches on the tank, paint worn on the top yoke from ignition keys, and a small paint chip on the tank that I have shown in the photos.

It has a genuine Honda topbox, grab rail and a "Blackwidow" exhaust can fitted. It purrs beautifully with the baffle in and sounds like a beast with the baffle out. I also found the original bars to be too high and narrow. I have therefore replaced them and fitted some wider bars which has improved the stability and handling significantly. If you don't like them, standard bars are dirt cheap to buy and fit back to original if that's your preference. Daytona heated grips that have been a life saver over the winter months, really nice once warmed up fully. New rear tyre and brake pads fitted weeks ago.

It has an MOT until June 2017 with a few minor advisories for rear wheel bearings and disc. But the bike runs smooth and safely. I'd have replaced these myself if I wasn't selling the machine. All can be fixed for approx £60 which I have factored into the selling price. Since owning the machine I have replaced the oil and filter every 4,000 miles. I have always maintained my own motorcycles meticulously.

At the time of posting this the bike has just over 23,000 miles which is nothing on these old CB500 engines as they are considered bullet proof. The mileage will go up slightly as I still ride the machine to work (30 miles a day).
