We are looking for café assistants & barista’s join our team for a new opening coffee shop in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. As a barista / café assistant your duties will include:
• Pre-opening service preparation.
• Assisting customers with all aspects of service.
• Adhering to opening and closing procedures.
• Management of daily food safety and cleaning checks.
• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness.
• Producing coffee to a high standard in a fast paced environment
• Cash handling and shift balancing
• Reporting directly to the Head barista

As the ideal candidate for the job you will have:
• 1 years’ experience as a barista or café assistant in a quality environment preferred
• A genuine interest in coffee making
• Experience in stock control and rotation
• The ability to texture milk and produce latte art (baristas)
• An interest in seasonal quality produce
• A friendly and professional demeanour
• Highly organised approach
• Ability to work under pressure
